Blogs in the US are becoming more and more popular amongst people. Over 7% of 120 million U.S adults have created a blog or webpage for diary writings. That is over 8 million new blogs to the internet. 27% of internet readers do read blogs so that is a total of 32 million people. Google and most other search engines do index and save blog content more frequently than previously so that every one of those blog articles are visible over the internet pretty quickly for searchers to see. This is the power of consumer based article publishing and there are interested readers to those articles. This new media is a new way to publish public relations to the consumers.

As more consumer generated blogs and writings appear to the net the more people are seeing the content in blogs and such media. Previously PR firms only had to publish media to the few major network televisions and hub newspapers to deliver all the media information their client needed. Today those Pr firms are in the new age as more and more articles are published through online media created by consumers and more people read those reviews and opinions from their personal views. PR companies should take care of those new blogs too if they want to make sure their clients are getting the best possible visibility to their products and services.

Another study says that over 50% of online purchases are made through online query so search engines are very powerful way to increase the media brand of a product. People read more and more reviews of products before they make a decision to buy. As blogs increase in every business area more opinions are covered through them and they affect the public consumer behavior. Consumer pr campaigns are harder to do than ever before in the online media.

If PR agency is aware of this new era of online medias such as blogs and social media they can deliver good results to their clients when they are doing consumer public relations today. PR must be taking care of in the online world such as in the offline world when doing marketing campaigns to gain sales or brand awareness.
